Seminole Okalee Indian Village at Seminole at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hosts Holiday Marketplace December 11 & 12

HOLLYWOOD, Fla.  – Make your holidays more colorful and cultural with a hand-crafted gift from a Native American artisan! The Seminole Okalee Indian Village at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino will be hosting a Holiday Marketplace on December 11 & 12 from 5 – 9 p.m. The two-day holiday showcase will feature a variety of artisans and gifts, alligator wrestling demonstrations, wildlife shows, Native American live music and a photo opportunity with Santa Claus.

Doors open at 4 p.m. on both days. At 5 p.m., Otter John presents a wildlife show (repeated at 8:30 p.m.) followed by deep water alligator wrestling demonstration with James Holt. At 6 p.m., celebrate the music of America with Native American musicians and recording artists Paul Buster, Paula Sanchez and Spencer Battiest.

Traveling down south from the North Pole will be Santa Claus who will be meeting and greeting guests from 6 – 8:30 p.m. each day.

Admission to the celebration is $12 for adults, $8 for children and seniors. Kids age six and under, Seminole Tribal Members and Seminole Employees are free. Admission is free with the purchase of $25 or more from the Okalee Village gift store.

Built around traditional Seminole "chickee" huts and pathways through a natural habitat emulating the Florida Everglades, The Seminole Okalee Indian Village and Museum is part of the nationally recognized Ah-Tah-Thi-Ki Museum located on the Big Cypress Seminole Reservation.  It showcases up-close animal habitats and exhibits that are part of the Seminole wildlife experience, along with a prestigious collection of Seminole cultural and historical artifacts.
